Research Fellow - Biochemistry

About the role

The Department of Biochemistry at Wake Forest University School of Medicine, Winston Salem, North Carolina is seeking a qualified individual for an NIH grant supported post-doctoral fellow position to conduct research.

Responsibilities

• Conduct independent research projects studying vitamin A metabolism in the retina and RPE, retina degeneration and visual cycle.
• Fulfill required duties as a university employee.
• Publish research papers and make presentations at scientific meetings.
• Participate in mentoring new students in experimental skills.

Requirements

• A Ph.D. degree or equivalent in cell biology, molecular biology, or ophthalmology from a University.
• At least 1 year research experience in vision research field.

• Highly motivated team worker.

Pay

$30.70 - $46.05 based on qualifications, skills, relevant experience, and/or training.
