Research Faculty - IM Immunology and Rheumatology - (Open Rank/Track Faculty)

About the role

The Research Faculty position is within the Division of Rheumatology and Immunology at The Ohio State University College of Medicine. The rank is open and will depend on the candidate’s research accomplishments.

Responsibilities

  • Writing and publishing research in high quality peer reviewed, scientific journals
  • Attending and making presentations of research at national and international scientific conferences
  • Developing national and international scholarly reputation
  • Instructing and mentoring junior scientists, doctoral and postdoctoral students, medical students, and residents and fellows
  • Participating in department, college, and university committees and initiatives
  • Conceptualizing, planning, designing, implementing, and conducting research studies in the area of rheumatic autoimmune diseases
  • Developing and writing grant proposals to maintain funding to support research program
  • Obtaining and maintaining NIH R01 or equivalent funding

Requirements

  • Doctoral degree in Immunology or related field (MD or MD/PhD)
  • A strong track record of high-level publications
  • A strong track record of ongoing robust peer-reviewed research funding – NIH R01 or equivalent funding

Pay
