Physician- Rheumatology (Open Rank/Track Faculty)

Position Overview

The Division of Rheumatology and Immunology in the Department of Internal Medicine seeks an academic rheumatologist to join an expanding outpatient multidisciplinary clinic network. The primary responsibilities include providing patient care in the general rheumatology clinic, outpatient procedures, and inpatient consultation. Additionally, the selected candidate will participate in teaching and training of students, residents, and rheumatology fellows, and will have research opportunities in clinical trials.

Requirements

• Board-certified/eligible in Rheumatology
• Must possess or be eligible for licensure in the State of Ohio

Faculty Defined

• Clinical faculty (regardless of rank): Earned a Doctor of Medicine (MD), Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO), doctorate (PhD) or other terminal degree in the relevant field. Not eligible for tenure, appointed for terms of three to five years. Focus is on delivering exemplary clinical care, teaching, and/or research.
• Tenure-track faculty (regardless of rank): Earned a doctorate (PhD), Doctor of Medicine (MD), Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) or other terminal degree in the relevant field. Primary focus centers on research, service, and teaching. May also be involved in clinical care.
• Research faculty (regardless of rank): Earned a doctorate (PhD) or other terminal degree in the relevant field of study. Not eligible for tenure, appointed for terms of one to five years. Focus is on research.
