Research Civil Engineer

This position is with the U.S. Army Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC), GSL.

About the role

This position is being filled as a Research Civil Engineer DB-02/04 (GS-5-14).

Responsibilities

• Conducts research on civil engineering topics relevant to the mission of ERDC.
• Develops and implements new civil engineering technologies and methodologies.
• Collaborates with other engineers and scientists to solve complex civil engineering problems.
• Writes technical reports and presents findings at conferences and meetings.
• May perform related duties as required.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Experience in civil engineering research and development.
• Knowledge of civil engineering principles and practices.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.

Qualifications

• Passing score on the ASVAB test.
• Eligibility for a security clearance.

Skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with data analysis software.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Pay

The starting salary range for this position is $40,736.00 - $97,087.00 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
