Location: Philadelphia, PA. Open date: May 01, 2026. Deadline: May 01, 2028 at 11:59 PM Eastern Time. The Department of Neuroscience at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for a Research Associate position in the Academic Support Staff. This appointment will be initially for one (1) year, with continuation and renewal based on satisfactory performance and availability of funding (limited to three (3) years).

Responsibilities

• Work independently and as part of collaborative research groups studying the metabolic basis of sleep.
• Use genetic, cell biology, and molecular biology techniques.
• Develop independence in research through writing grants and peer‑reviewed publications.

Requirements

• Ph.D. or equivalent degree.
• Expertise in Drosophila genetics, circadian rhythms, and sleep.
