Research Associate in Gynecologic Oncology, Penn Ovarian Cancer Research Center

Responsibilities

  • Performing in vivo and in vitro experiments
  • Data analysis
  • Writing grants, progress reports, and manuscripts for publication
  • Participating in Center activities

Requirements

  • Demonstrated prior certification for: human subjects research, IACUC approval to work with animals, viral vector use, and recombinant DNA technology
  • Expertise in the specific area of ovarian cancer development and progression with a focus on tumor microenvironment and the emerging role of innervation on tumor biology
  • A strong background in molecular biology, drug development, mouse models, and cancer genomics
  • At least 3-5 years of postdoctoral training

Qualifications

  • M.D. or Ph.D degree

Skills

  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Experience with statistical analysis software
