Responsibilities

  • Conducting independent and collaborative research in structural proteomics, chemical biology, and mitochondrial biology
  • Developing and implementing mass spectrometry-based workflows including chemical crosslinking mass spectrometry (XL-MS), quantitative proteomics, and protein interaction mapping
  • Operating and maintaining advanced LC-MS/MS instrumentation
  • Analyzing complex proteomics datasets
  • Mentoring students and trainees
  • Contributing to manuscript preparation, grant writing, and collaborative research projects

Qualifications

  • Ph.D. or M.D./Ph.D. degree
  • Demonstrated experience designing and executing independent research projects and working effectively within collaborative multidisciplinary teams
  • Expertise in chemical crosslinking mass spectrometry (XL-MS), structural proteomics, protein interaction mapping, chemical biology, development of novel analytical methodologies, and computational analysis of proteomics datasets
  • Experience with Orbitrap-based mass spectrometry platforms, quantitative proteomics workflows, and advanced proteomics software tools
  • Preferred qualifications include expertise in mitochondrial biology, neuroscience, reproductive biology, cryo-EM, or integrative structural biology
