Job Summary
BioLegend is seeking a highly motivated Product Development Research Associate to join our Diagnostic Product Development Team. This position will actively participate in the development of flow cytometry reagents for diagnostic use. The responsibilities include: perform experiments, analyze and report results, troubleshoot, manage and maintain documentation.Essential Functions
While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in a laboratory environment with occasional data entry on a computer. Occasional exposure to a warehouse environment. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle, feel, or operate objects, tools or controls, and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to stand, talk and hear.Minimum Qualifications – Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in a Life Sciences-related fieldAt least 1 years of working experience in research laboratory or industry
At least 1 years of hands-on experience with flow cytometry
2+ years of hands-on experience with cell culture
Preferred Qualifications – Education and Experience
3+ years of hands-on experience in multi-color flow cytometry and data analysisPrevious experience in diagnostic product development, preferably in a GMP environment
Basic understanding of immunology, hematology, and oncology

The employee is frequently required to stand, talk and hear. The hourly pay for this position will vary by level, as we are open to considering candidates at Research Associate I, II, or III depending on experience and qualifications. Each level has a corresponding range that reflects the appropriate scope of responsibilities and expectations. The anticipated hourly range for a Research Associate I this role is $22.00 – $29.00 per hour. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for a new hire in this position. The base pay actually offered to the successful candidate will take into account internal equity, work location, and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
