About the role

The Research Assistant - Biomechanics will extract key insights and quantitative metrics from histological and medical images, test biological tissues mechanically, and analyze and interpret biomechanical data from experimental studies.

Responsibilities

  • Extract key insights and quantitative metrics from histological and medical images
  • Test biological tissues mechanically and analyze and interpret biomechanical data from experimental studies
  • Support data processing, documentation, and reporting

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate/Graduate degree in Biomechanics, Biomedical Engineering, or other related fields
  • Experience working with medical images
  • Experience analyzing biomechanical data
  • A strong anatomy and physiology background

Preferred Qualifications

  • Direct experience analyzing medical images and writing scripts for automatic analysis

Physical Demands

Regularly sits; may stand, walk. See, hear, speak and use of hands. Work Environment: Regularly works indoors. Noise level is low to moderate.
