Research Analyst
Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive reviews of existing Air Force, USCYBERCOM, and DoD policies related to cyber personnel management, force presentation, and training.
Extract, compile, and analyze quantitative data from relevant Air Force and Joint databases.
Design and execute qualitative research plans, facilitating SME Working groups, conducting structured/semi-structured interviews, and participating in relevant meetings to gather necessary information.
Compile and synthesize multiple white papers, briefings, tasker inputs, and other written data sources to produce cohesive papers, briefs, and tasker responses incorporating inputs from a large number of disparate collaboration partners.
Identify resource needs, friction points, policy gaps, or organizational design problems that hinder the achievement of USCYBERCOM 2.0 objectives.
Strategic Reporting and Visualization
Translate complex quantitative datasets and thematic qualitative findings into clear, actionable white papers, data visualizations and executive summaries.
Collaborate with the Task Force leadership to ensure qualitative insights and data trends are properly integrated into HAF, USCYBERCOM, and 16 AF leadership reporting.
Required Qualifications
- A current TS/SCI security clearance.
- A BA/BS and 6 years of related experience. An additional 4 years of experience may be substituted for degree.
- Familiarity with Air Force, USCYBERCOM, and DoD policies.
- Experience compiling information and clearly and cohesively presenting it in papers and briefings.
About the Role
The Research Analyst will be responsible for gathering, synthesizing, and analyzing complex personnel, operational, and policy information.
Using quantitative data gathered from existing data sources and qualitative data gathered from interviews and working groups, the analyst will produce white papers, data visualizations, and strategic recommendations to support the Task Force’s mandate as the central integration point for HAF, USCYBERCOM, 16 AF Staff, and subordinate units.
Pay and Benefits
Pay Range $73,450.00 - $132,775.00
