Requirements Analyst/Technical Writer

Responsibilities

• Aid the Requirements Manager and Requirements Officer in technical writing and development, focusing on strategic planning, acquisition processes, and production of Capability Development Documents.
• Assist in reviewing all source material for Unmanned Surface Vessels (USV) and prepare applicable requirements documents for staffing within NSWG-8, NSWC, and SOCOM.
• Assist in reviewing all Unmanned Undersea Vehicle (UUV) Family of Systems (FoS) source material and prepare applicable requirements documents for staffing within NSWG-8, NSWC, and SOCOM.
• Assist in reviewing all manned undersea mobility platforms, including SEAL Delivery Vehicles, Dry Combat Submersibles, and Dry Deck Shelter (DDS), Next, and prepare applicable requirements documents for staffing within NSWG-8, NSWC, and SOCOM.
• Generate a monthly status report detailing accomplishments, planned actions for the upcoming month, and any roadblocks or obstacles to achieving assigned tasks within the agreed-upon timelines.

Qualifications

• Show an exceptional work ethic, strong verbal and written communication skills, and accuracy in technical writing duties.
• Produce clear and concise reports and correspondence in prescribed formats.
• Conduct thorough planning, organization, analysis of accumulated data/information, and effective coordination and integration of work with other functional activities.
• Operate under pressure in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks to meet strict deadlines.
• Coordinate complex scheduling and multi-step processes.
• Prepare written reports and correspondence using Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and other relevant software.
• Hold a Top-Secret security clearance.
• Hold a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited U.S. college.
• Have three years of experience in conducting research, gathering data, processing, assembling, and analyzing facts, drawing conclusions, and developing solutions to optimize force-related problems.
