Requirements Analyst

Location: Tampa, FL – Headquarters SOCOM on MacDill AFB. Travel: Yes – 10% of the time. Minimum clearance required: TS/SCI. Potential for remote work: On-site.

About the role

SAIC has an immediate opening for a Requirements Analyst to support the Special Operation Command Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC). The position is part of the ServiceNow Platform Support Team, gathering and documenting requirements for new service requests from USSOCOM, its Component Commands, Theater Special Operations Commands (TSOCs), and deployed forces. The role involves interpreting and formalizing ambiguous requests into clear, actionable IT requirements to support network operations, systems and network infrastructure, end-user support, configuration management, training, and IMAC services.

Responsibilities

• Assist with requirements gathering through interviews, workshops, and surveys for new services, software, and hardware.
• Translate initial, often ambiguous, requests into clear, detailed requirements specifications, user stories, and functional documents.
• Manage and document changes to baseline requirements through a formal change control process.
• Act as a liaison between end-users and the technical team to ensure business needs are effectively communicated.
• Analyze current business processes and workflows to ensure changes align with technical capabilities.
• Represent the ServiceNow Platform Support Team at the USSOCOM ServiceNow Governance Review Board meetings. Capture and relay incoming change requests, assess feasibility, estimated timeframe, and ROI, and report back to the Board.
• Assist in preparing for User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by setting up test environments and preparing test data.
• Create detailed UAT test cases and test scripts based on identified business requirements.
• Execute UAT test scripts under supervision, covering functional and end-to-end scenarios.
• Log and track defects found during testing, including steps to reproduce, expected results, and actual results.
• Ensure new service requests are accurately captured and meet the articulated business needs of stakeholders.
• Produce clear, accurate, and comprehensive documentation of requirements and test results.
• Support the efficient progression of change requests from initial request to final implementation.
• Work shifts and weekends as required.

Requirements

• Current DoD Security Clearance at the Top Secret (TS) level with the ability to obtain SCI access.
• Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.
• High School Diploma (or equivalent) required; 4 years of experience with an Associate’s Degree or 2 years with a Bachelor’s Degree may substitute for experience.
• Basic understanding of business processes and IT systems.
• Familiarity with Agile and/or Scrum methodologies.
• Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with requirements management tools (e.g., ServiceNow) and process modeling tools (e.g., Visio) is preferred.

Qualifications (Preferred)

• Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or equivalent certification.
• Certification of Competency in Business Analysis (CCBA) or equivalent certification.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in business administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience with ServiceNow IT Service Management.
