Requirements

• Associate’s Degree in Accounting, Business, or related field required
• Two years’ experience in accounting, finance, financial case management, receivables, or related field
• Knowledge of accounting principles and practices
• Intermediate math ability
• Proficiency with computerized accounting software and Microsoft Excel; overall computer competency
• Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Government/SSA benefit knowledge, including representative payee rules and regulations (preferred)
• Well-organized with strong attention to detail and self-directed work style
• Ability to work in a changing environment, remain flexible, and use sound judgment and analytical problem-solving skills
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and security of all Protected Health Information (PHI), Personally Identifiable Information (PII), and financial data in compliance with HIPAA, NY SHIELD Act, SSA representative payee requirements, and organizational policies
• Demonstrated ability to relate to and accept individuals with disabilities
• Valid NYS Driver’s License in accordance with organization policies; ability to travel
