Qualifications
- Associate’s Degree in Accounting, Business, or related field required.
- Two years’ experience in accounting, finance, financial case management, receivables, or related field required.
- Knowledge of accounting principles and practices required.
- Intermediate math ability required.
- Proficiency with computerized accounting software and Microsoft Excel; overall computer competency required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal skills, and ability to work in a team environment.
- Government/SSA benefit knowledge, including representative payee rules and regulations, preferred.
- Must be well-organized with attention to detail and self-directed, with the ability to work in a changing environment, be flexible, and utilize sound judgment and analytical problem-solving skills.
- Maintains confidentiality and security of all Protected Health Information (PHI), Personally Identifiable Information (PII), and financial data in compliance with HIPAA, NY SHIELD Act, SSA representative payee requirements, and organizational policies.
- Must demonstrate the ability to relate to and accept individuals with disabilities.
- Valid NYS Driver’s License in accordance with organization policies; ability to travel.
