Reporter

Key Responsibilities

• Pitch daily story ideas, gather news and information for various platforms including TV and digital
• Work with producers and news managers on developing, researching, investigating, writing, producing, and presenting stories as needed for both TV and digital platforms
• Present completed news stories that are accurate, journalistically sound, fair and balanced
• Report live during affiliate newscasts in cities around the country, including breaking news as needed
• Skill in shooting, editing, coordinating, managing, conducting, and video recording interviews
• Build contacts for developing impactful original stories
• Show flexibility with respect to scheduling and/or assigned work shifts

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as an MSJ/ Television Reporter
• Proven interview skills
• A valid driver’s license

Education Requirements

College Degree Required or Equivalent Experience

Pay

Hiring Salary Range: $120,000.00 - 150,000.00. The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
