Major Responsibilities
- Produce multiple stories a week, with an exclusive focus on generating compelling, unique content differentiated in the depth of its insight and the quality of its sources and reporting.
- Actively leverage IANS' faculty and its expertise in linking experts to topics, to add insights and context to breaking news events.
- Leverage IANS' existing rich library of content, including faculty-authored research, call summaries and transcripts, and proprietary white papers, to further enhance the quality of our reporting.
- Collaborate closely with IANS' existing research and content teams.
- Attend conferences and other industry events for stories and source cultivation.
- Develop deep knowledge of IANS' customers and the security industry for the purposes of the most informed and relevant coverage.
- Be comfortable with some expectations for off-hours work for major, breaking news or related responsibilities.
Skills and Experience
- At least one to two years of finance or business-related journalism experience, with a track record of enterprise reporting.
- Comfortable with data and data-driven reporting, preferably with some history of leveraging proprietary data to generate or enhance unique story angles.
- Comfortable with high expectations for productivity and turnaround time.
- Possess strong comfort and familiarity with process and process management.
- A proven collaborator and teammate, comfortable working in a globally distributed and remote environment.
