About the role

This full-time, on-site role based in Houston, TX focuses on covering brand stories, product launches, store events, and customer experiences for Molly Tea. The Reporter will research and gather information, conduct interviews with team members, partners, and customers, and produce clear, engaging news-style content for internal and external channels. Responsibilities include creating written reports, multimedia features, and social-friendly narratives that reflect Molly Tea’s brand values and cultural background while meeting deadlines and editorial standards.

Responsibilities

• Research and gather information for brand stories, product launches, and events.
• Conduct interviews with team members, partners, and customers.
• Produce clear, engaging news-style content for internal and external channels, including written reports, multimedia features, and social-friendly narratives.
• Collaborate with marketing and communications teams to ensure consistent messaging across platforms.
• Provide timely coverage of company initiatives in the Houston, TX market and broader regional activities.
• Adhere to deadlines and editorial standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, Media Studies, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong reporting skills, including research, interviewing, and fact-checking.
• Excellent writing and news writing abilities, with the capacity to produce clear, concise, and engaging content.
• Effective communication skills for collaborating with internal stakeholders and engaging with external audiences.
• Basic to intermediate multimedia skills (e.g., photo, video, or audio capture and editing) to support digital storytelling.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple assignments, and meet deadlines.
• Familiarity with digital and social media platforms for publishing and promoting content.
• Interest in food and beverage, youth culture, or international lifestyle brands; knowledge of Asian or oriental culture is a plus.
• Strong ethical judgment, attention to detail, and commitment to accuracy and fairness in reporting.
