Report Coordinator – Pathology Support
Job Responsibilities
- Ensures all cases entering the pathology suite are processed to completion according to pathologist/client expectations within quality, time, and volume constraints.
- Reviews test requisitions and submitted medical records to verify test orders, sample type, and clinical information.
- Adds, reflexes, cancels, or sends out testing as directed by pathologists/clients.
- Maintains alert worklist and investigates, takes action, follows up, and/or resolves issues as necessary.
- Responds with urgency to requests for information from pathologists, clients, or laboratory departments to resolve reporting delays, client concerns, and IT issues.
- Prepares revised reports for pathologist signature.
- Collaborates with pathologists, laboratory departments, and clinicians to ensure timely completion and reporting of laboratory test results to client.
- Provides general office support to Pathology Department including phones, faxing, filing, email, US mail, FedEx shipping, document scanning, and preparation of materials for off-site storage.
Minimum Qualifications
- A high school diploma or GED
- One year or more of laboratory experience
Preferred Qualifications
- One year or more of pathology experience
- One year or more of medical transcriptionist experience

- Basic computer knowledge and data entry skills
- Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
- High level of attention to detail with the ability to prioritize and multitask
