Areca Capital is expanding its trading capabilities with the launch of a new futures trading offering, providing clients with access to CME Group—the world’s leading derivatives marketplace.

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Futures Trader to join our growing team. In this role, you will execute trades, manage risk, and develop strategies to capitalize on market opportunities across CME Group’s futures products.

Responsibilities

• Execute futures trades across CME Group’s global markets, including interest rates, equity indexes, FX, commodities, and cryptocurrencies.
• Monitor market conditions, news, and data to identify trading opportunities and manage positions.
• Develop and refine quantitative and discretionary trading strategies.
• Collaborate with research, technology, and risk teams to optimize trading performance.
• Maintain compliance with internal risk limits and regulatory requirements.
• Analyze trade performance and contribute to continuous improvement of trading methodologies.

Requirements

• Proven experience trading futures, preferably with exposure to CME Group products.
• Strong understanding of macroeconomic factors, market microstructure, and derivatives pricing.
• Proficiency in quantitative analysis and trading tools (e.g., Python, Excel, or proprietary platforms).
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Series 3 license (or ability to obtain it promptly).
