Repair Technician

About the Role

The Repair Technician tests, diagnoses, troubleshoots, and repairs industrial electronic and automation equipment for both company inventory and customer-owned equipment. This position also assists with designing and constructing diagnostic equipment and configuring or customizing drives and related equipment based on customer requirements.

Responsibilities

• Test, diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair incoming inventory
• Diagnose and repair customer-owned equipment
• Design and build diagnostic components and test equipment as needed
• Build, configure, or customize drives and related equipment for customer applications
• Follow established Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and electrical safety procedures
• Participate in training and continuing education to expand technical and repair capabilities
• Monitor and maintain an appropriate inventory of parts and supplies needed for repair operations
• Meet productivity, quality, and performance goals established by management
• Maintain an organized and efficient work area
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Previous experience with drive repair, industrial electronics, electrical work, or a related field is preferred
• Knowledge of electrical safety procedures and safe work practices is preferred
• Ability to occasionally climb or use ladders while working with inventory or equipment
• Ability to frequently move, lift, or handle boxes, parts, and equipment weighing up to 75 pounds
• Ability to communicate information and instructions clearly and effectively
• Ability to safely work with electrical and electronic equipment

Pay

Starting pay $18.00/hour
