About the role

The Patient Access Representative (PAR) is responsible for patient registration, scheduling, customer service and clerical support.

Responsibilities

• Accepting, recording and verifying insurance information
• Processing preauthorization requests
• Collecting copays and account balance payments
• Scanning documents into EMR
• Completing other responsibilities accurately and timely as needed or assigned

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent OR - GED
• Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of education
• 1 year experience in Patient Access
• General Experience with and Knowledge of insurance requirements, insurance verification, and 3rd party billing
