Rental Technician - Electrician

About the Role

Our Rental Technicians are qualified electricians with hands-on experience, responsible for ensuring our equipment is always fully operational and ready for any rental at any time.

• Prepare rental equipment to suit customer project needs
• Inspection and quality assurance testing and reports of rental and sale equipment
• Preventative maintenance and minor repairs to rental equipment
• Shipping and receiving of rental and sale equipment
• Maintain a high level of presentation and organization in our yard, warehouse, and common areas
• Some work beyond regular hours required to attend to after-hours calls

Equipment includes automatic and manual transfer switches, distribution panels, dry/pad mount/substation transformers, cable, motor starters, breakers, splitters, and more across a range of voltages and amperage levels.

Responsibilities

• Prepare rental equipment to meet customer project requirements
• Perform inspection, quality assurance testing, and generate reports for rental and sale equipment
• Conduct preventative maintenance and minor repairs on rental equipment
• Handle shipping and receiving of rental and sale equipment
• Maintain organization and presentation standards in yard, warehouse, and common areas
• Respond to after-hours calls as needed

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years as a qualified working electrician (Journeyman or equivalent)
• Experience in commercial and industrial electrical construction, repairs, maintenance, and commissioning for high and low voltage systems
• Able to interpret blueprints, schematic drawings, layouts, or other visual aids
• Able to locate and correct defects in electrical systems and equipment
• Able to lift/move heavy equipment (50+ lbs.), work at heights, and in confined spaces
• Willingness to work outside regular hours for after-hours calls as needed
