About the role

Yancey Bros. Co., founded in 1914, is the authorized Caterpillar equipment dealer for Georgia, providing comprehensive sales, parts, and service to customers.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect, diagnose, troubleshoot, and locate mechanical deficiencies on rental equipment
  • Source and order parts as needed for assigned shop and technicians
  • Repair and/or replace all components of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, air conditioning systems, suspension systems, drive trains, electrical systems, steering, braking, material handling, and operator comfort systems
  • Perform welding and brazing, fabricate and modify parts, equipment, miscellaneous structures and attachments
  • Complete all work orders (including warranty information) and time sheets in a legible, accurate, and timely manner
  • Operate equipment and vehicles with possession of all necessary licenses and certificates
  • Perform all work in accordance with established quality standards and safety procedures
  • Work overtime on short notice
  • Photograph equipment when necessary
  • Maintain a safe driving record
  • Monitor and control work orders along with warranty and customer related issues
  • Develop and monitor reporting technicians training and Yancey Bros. correlating Computer Based Training or CBD

Qualifications

  • Minimum five years in operations management, business planning, or sales support management role
  • Leadership, Vision, Competitiveness and Drive
  • Strong accountability and initiative
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Advanced problem solving capabilities
  • Previous experience and demonstrated success in team leadership and leader development
  • Understanding of the rental industry
  • Advanced IT skills in required applications
  • Advanced troubleshooting diagnostic skills
