Job Overview
The Management Trainee – Leasing position at Murphy-Hoffman Company, LLC is part of the company's growth and aims to develop skills for providing quality transportation solutions to commercial customers and potentially advancing to leadership roles within MHC Truck Leasing.
Essential Functions
- Develops skills and talents to provide quality transportation solutions to commercial customers.
- Coordinates rental activities in accordance with proper procedures for the branch, focusing on sales support and generating new sales opportunities for all product lines.
- Assists in planning, organizing, directing, and controlling the efforts of the Rental Department to achieve business plan objectives, with a focus on becoming qualified for a Rental Manager position.
- Prepares Sales Proposals for new and existing Rental customers, using various methods such as direct mailers, in-person cold calls, and rental solicitation calls.
- Manages the location fleet and executes rental contracts to meet daily reservations, working closely with the Service Department to ensure consistent customer communication.
- Makes weekly sales/telesales prospecting calls and ensures all Branch units have the necessary licenses, permits, and identification to operate legally and timely, preventing lost revenue.
- Timely collects, audits, and prepares Driver Trip Records related to rental units according to procedure, performs check-ins and out of rental trucks, conducts daily lot checks, and ensures the fleet is presentable to potential customers.
- Completes rental reports and rental billing daily and when scheduled, obtains current mileage, and receives written approval for estimates.
- Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
