Rental Field Service Technician - Greater Baton Rouge Area

About the role

We are hiring a Field Service Technician to support the maintenance and repair of our rental fleet and customers in the Greater Baton Rouge area. This is a hands-on role with a mix of shop work and field service. If you are a technician who takes pride in doing things right the first time and enjoys keeping equipment running strong, you'll fit right in.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair forklifts, pallet jacks, reach trucks, boom lifts, and other warehouse vehicles
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, LP/diesel engine, and electrical system issues
  • Use diagnostic tools such as multimeters and hydraulic gauges to pinpoint and fix problems
  • Perform preventative maintenance to keep customer equipment running smoothly
  • Participate in manufacturer-certified training to stay up to date on equipment and repair techniques
  • Inspect and maintain your service vehicle, tools, and inventory for safety and readiness
  • Support and mentor junior techs when needed

Requirements

We’re looking for candidates with prior experience in forklift, heavy equipment, diesel, or automotive repair, a strong understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic systems, familiarity with diagnostic software and tools, ability to lift up to 75 lbs. occasionally, and a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Skills & Experience

We’re looking for individuals who are willing to travel within the assigned service territory and have a willingness to take ownership of their work.
