Responsibilities
- Applies advanced-level mechanical aptitude to perform maintenance and repairs to Caterpillar and allied rental equipment in the shop and at customer job sites
- Applies troubleshooting techniques and determines proper repair procedures
- Prepares parts requisitions
- Must have thorough knowledge of engines, transmissions, electrical and other related components to troubleshoot and analyze unique and high level problems/issues quickly, and improvise using logic and critical thinking skills to make needed repairs
- Must have advanced-level mechanical aptitude
- Must have the ability to repair Caterpillar and allied components and machines
- Must be able to work independently and as part of a team
- Must be able to interact with customers on a professional level
- Must be a strong communicator with excellent verbal and written skills
- Must be self-directed and well organized with the ability to prioritize workload while providing excellent customer service
- Demonstrates ability to learn and apply new knowledge
- Proficient in use of technical software, databases and manuals
- Excellent driving record required with the ability to obtain a CDL and/or DOT certification
- Must be able to work additional hours as needed to meet business and customer demands

Requirements
- Minimum three years' experience performing advanced-level mechanical service and repairs to Caterpillar and related competitive equipment
- High school diploma or GED, required
- Ability to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear
- Frequent use of close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
- Physical requirements: Ability to lift and/or more up to 70 pounds

Starting Compensation Range: $34.55 - $43.43 per hour

Sign-on Bonus
We are currently offering a $5,000 sign-on bonus for Rental Field Service Technician new hires. $2,500 is payable after 90-days of employment, and the remaining $2,500 is payable after 180 days of employment.
