About the role
The Reno Project Analyst I plays a crucial role in the renovation and escrow holdback process, focusing on FHA 203(k), FNMA Homestyle, VA, and FHLMC Choice Renovation projects. They ensure all required documents are in order and provide exceptional customer service to homeowners and contractors.
Responsibilities
- Reviews and analyzes renovation and escrow holdback documents to meet Company and investor guidelines.
- Analyzes documents including Contractor Questionnaire, certifications, and supporting documents.
- Tracks and records project progress and coordinates with internal stakeholders.
- Communicates project requirements to all parties, both internal and external.
- Manages loan pipeline and advises and assists with project-related inquiries.
- Determines project eligibility and approves disbursement requests based on Company guidelines.
- Performs related duties as assigned and ensures compliance with regulatory and state permitting laws.
- Responds to customer inquiries and performs account reconciliations.
- Researches and confirms escrow holdback fund balances and disburses funds accordingly.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent, required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business/Finance/Accounting, preferred.
- 2 years’ mortgage loan lifecycle experience or 1 year renovation project review experience.
- Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to exercise independent judgment.
- Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to adapt to change and grasp new concepts quickly.
- FHA 203(k) &/or HomeStyle Renovation processing experience highly preferred.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of regulatory and state permitting laws.
- Experience with Microsoft Office and SharePoint.

- Ability to work independently and manage a high volume of tasks.
