Project Analyst I (Materials)

The Kansas City National Security Campus (KCNSC), managed and operated by Honeywell Federal Manufacturing & Technologies, is a premier advanced manufacturing facility supporting the safety, security, reliability, and effectiveness of the U.S. nuclear deterrent. Located in Kansas City, Missouri, and Albuquerque, New Mexico, KCNSC employs nearly 7,000 employees and works to protect our nation and allies through the production of trusted national security products and services for the U.S. Department of Energy's National Nuclear Security Administration.

Responsibilities

• Manages a wide variety of activities in support of project or program planning, execution, and sustainability maintenance.
• Detailed analysis and interpretation of data from various business systems or external data sources.
• Aids in project planning, scheduling, monitoring, reporting activities, and special projects as assigned.
• Develops, maintains, and facilitates project plans for a department, function, or business group.
• Acts as FM&T point-of-contact for internal and external customer projects, as assigned.
• Reports status, and assists in developing, implementing, and/or negotiating changes to project plans with internal and external customers to assure schedules are met.
• Constructively contributes to developing, implementing, maintaining, and/or assisting the negotiation of changes to project plans with internal and external customers.
• Escalates issues and contributes to the development and presentation of appropriate action plans.
• Assists in the development of innovations in departmental systems and functions; identifies and contributes to implementation of continuous improvement actions.
• Conducts standardized and supports special studies which involve compiling data, analyzing results, preparing, and maintaining documentation, and proposing and implementing recommendations.
• May compile, coordinate, monitor, and maintain financial and budgeting reports.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or 2+ years of experience in a directly related field in lieu of Bachelor’s degree.
• Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
• Ability to work remotely, hybrid, or on-site as directed by management and is determined by the needs of the business.
• United States Citizenship.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) security clearance (some positions require additional DOE designations).

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Word).
• Ability to identify and make recommendations for resolution of project-related problems utilizing analytical skills.
• Demonstrated oral and written communication skills; ability to effectively interface and build strong relationships with internal and external customers.
• Demonstrated skills in organization and problem-solving.
• Detail-oriented; possess professional presence, maturity, and judgment.
