Renaissance Room Service Server
About the role
Renaissance Baton Rouge is seeking a full-time Room Service Server to join their team. Reporting to the Outlet Manager/Supervisor, the Server will provide high-quality service to guests, handle orders and payments, and ensure smooth operations.
Responsibilities
- Provide attentive, courteous, and efficient service to guests
- Receive and deliver guests' orders and collect payment
- Stand for the duration of the shift and move around the dining area while carrying trays
- Be familiar with the restaurant's layout and the functions of different positions
- Know the menus and specials in applicable outlets
- Operate the Point of Sale (P.O.S.) system
- Close checks and prepare end-of-shift paperwork
- Perform opening and closing procedures and side work duties
- Break down soiled dishes and linens according to standards
- Answer the phone according to established protocols
- Upsell food, beverage, and promotional items to guests
- Service guests with all food and beverage requirements
Requirements
- ABC and RV Permits required
Qualifications
- Familiarity with the restaurant's layout and operations
- Thorough knowledge of menus and specials
- Ability to stand and move throughout the dining area
- Basic computer skills for operating the P.O.S. system
