Remote Volunteer Social Media Marketing Manager — Youth Nonprofit
About the role
Help Believe in Me grow awareness, engagement, volunteer recruitment, partnerships, and support across approved social channels for its youth and youth programs.
Responsibilities
- Build channel strategies, editorial calendars, campaign briefs, and measurable goals.
- Create, schedule, and optimize approved posts for relevant social platforms.
- Cook up content for Believe in Me, iLevelUP, Cougs 4 Kids, scholarships, community partnerships, and Legacy Lounge without blurring program identities.
- Use UTM-tagged links and track reach, engagement, referrals, applications, and conversions.
- Apply accessible captions, alt-text guidance, readable graphics, inclusive language, and platform best practices.
- Monitor comments and messages under approved response and escalation procedures.
- Protect youth privacy and use only approved stories, images, releases, and claims.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have experience in social media strategy, digital marketing, community management, content planning, analytics, nonprofit communications, or audience development. Familiarity with scheduling tools, Canva, platform insights, and UTM tracking is helpful.
Qualifications
Ongoing participation is preferred. No specific education or certifications are required, but familiarity with social media platforms and nonprofit communication is beneficial.
Skills
Strong writing and editing skills, ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, and proficiency in scheduling tools like Buffer or Hootsuite are essential.
