Remote Volunteer Front-End Developer — iLevelUP

Responsibilities

• Build responsive interface components from approved designs and user stories
• Use semantic HTML, maintainable CSS, and modern JavaScript or TypeScript
• Integrate front-end features with documented APIs and authentication flows
• Maintain WCAG-informed keyboard, contrast, focus, labeling, and screen-reader expectations
• Write unit, component, and end-to-end tests appropriate to each change
• Review code, fix defects, document components, and participate in release checks
• Protect user data and avoid exposing secrets or sensitive information in client code
• Follow approved repositories, branches, reviews, environments, and deployment processes
• Never publish changes or access production data without authorization

Qualifications

• Experience with modern front-end development, preferably React or a comparable framework
• Strong HTML, CSS, JavaScript or TypeScript, responsive design, Git, APIs, and testing
• Familiarity with web accessibility, performance, browser compatibility, privacy, and security
• Clear written communication and reliable remote collaboration
• At least 18 years old and willing to complete screening and confidentiality requirements
