Remote Volunteer Data Integration Specialist — iLevelUP

About the role

The volunteer Data Integration Specialist will map, configure, test, and document authorized data exchanges across various platforms. They will also apply least privilege, encryption, and error-handling practices, and coordinate with system owners for changes.

Responsibilities

• Document source and destination systems, data owners, fields, purposes, schedules, and consent constraints
• Create approved mappings, transformations, validation rules, and reconciliation checks
• Configure or implement integrations using documented APIs, files, or approved automation tools
• Test with synthetic or de-identified data and record expected and exception behavior
• Apply least privilege, encryption, secret management, retention, and error-handling practices
• Maintain lineage, runbooks, change logs, and handoff documentation
• Coordinate with system owners before schema, credential, schedule, or vendor changes
• Never transfer sensitive data or activate production integrations without authorization

Qualifications

• Experience with APIs, data mapping, ETL or ELT, automation platforms, CRM systems, SQL, or integration testing
• Strong troubleshooting, validation, documentation, and secure credential practices
• Familiarity with privacy, consent, data minimization, schema changes, and monitoring
• Clear, dependable remote communication
• At least 21 years old and willing to complete screening and confidentiality requirements
