Remote Senior Accounting Director

Role Overview

The Senior Director, Accounting oversees operational accounting functions, including General Ledger, close management, payroll, balance sheet reconciliation, cash management, and Accounts Payable.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and ensure accuracy in financial close processes
• Manage reconciliations
• Oversight of payroll and cash accounting
• Drive process improvements
• Manage a team of accounting professionals
• Support SOX compliance
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, Tax, Legal, and other departments
• Serve as primary liaison for external auditors
• Contribute to system upgrades and finance transformations

Qualifications & Skills

• 12+ years of progressive accounting experience with at least 4 years in leadership
• CPA certification
• Deep US GAAP knowledge
• Experience in publicly traded companies with SOX compliance
• ERP proficiency (NetSuite preferred)
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Experience in technology or multi-entity environments is a plus
