Remote Labor and Employment Counsel

An established national legal practice is seeking a Labor & Employment Counsel to join its growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney who enjoys representing employers in complex employment litigation. This position offers the opportunity to work remotely while handling sophisticated labor and employment matters, including employment litigation, EPLI defense, and employment counseling, in a collaborative and client-focused environment.Remote Labor and Employment Responsibilities:Defend employers in a broad range of employment litigation matters in state and federal courts, including discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour, and wrongful termination claimsManage Employment Practices Liability Insurance (EPLI) matters from inception through resolution, including working directly with carriers and insured clientsHandle administrative charges and agency proceedings before the EEOC, DOL, and comparable federal, state, and local agenciesDraft pleadings, motions, discovery, briefs, position statements, and other litigation-related documentsConduct witness interviews, take and defend depositions, and assist with mediation, arbitration, and trial preparationDevelop and maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication and practical, business-oriented legal counselRemote Labor and Employment Qualifications:J.D. from an accredited law schoolActive bar admission in at least one U.S. jurisdiction6+ years of labor and employment experienceSignificant experience handling employment litigation in state and federal courtsExperience managing EPLI matters and representing employers in employment-related disputesFamiliarity with EEOC charges and other administrative agency proceedingsStrong legal writing, research, advocacy, and analytical skillsAbility to manage client relationships and litigation matters independentlyExperience providing day-to-day employment counseling to employers preferredRemote Labor and Employment Benefits:Fully remote work environmentSophisticated national client baseStrong emphasis on mentorship and collaborationMeaningful client contact and relationship-building opportunitiesDiverse mix of employment litigation, EPLI defense, and counseling workCompetitive compensation and benefits package
