Role Overview
We seek an experienced Independent Sales Representative based in Sacramento, Fresno, or Central Valley to drive growth in the premium cigar and tobacco segment. This hybrid role combines home-office tasks such as scheduling, reporting, and CRM updates with extensive in-person store visits across the Californian market.
Responsibilities
- Opening new wholesale accounts
- Visiting cigar shops and lounges
- Developing retailer relationships
- Promoting and selling products
- Organizing tastings and events
- Growing wholesale sales
Qualifications
- 2-3+ years of proven sales experience in cigars or tobacco
- Fluent English (Spanish is a plus)
- Valid driver’s license and personal vehicle
- Strong network of industry contacts
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship skills
- Highly organized, self-driven, and confident in territory management
- Charismatic and persuasive in face-to-face sales
- Ownership mindset with accountability and adaptability
Compensation
Compensation is performance-based, earning 15-20% commission on sales, with opportunities to represent premium brands in a high-growth environment where results lead to advancement.
