Remote Inbound Healthcare Scheduler

About the role

Remote Healthcare Scheduler Position is Fully Remote $20.00 hour Must be able to work any 8 hour schedule between 8:00am - 6:00pm (EST). Healthcare Scheduler - Work From Home.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and register patient appointments and/or provide information for other requests (e.g., addresses/directions, phone numbers, hours of operations, other departments such as billing).
• Process all phone, fax, email, and other communication channel requests with an emphasis on efficiency and accuracy.
• As appropriate, assist new members with introduction to and explanation of available services, processes and availability of providers.
• Update patients of the status of their referral or authorizations.
• Answer, screen, and process a high volume of incoming calls in a professional manner.
• Direct patient access to the practice by scheduling and canceling patient appointments for multiple providers.
• Utilize and adhere to a phone script, clinical decision trees, and scheduling criteria following department guidelines.
• Use independent knowledge within scope of knowledge and training to determine the type of appointment needed and urgency to schedule the patient to the appropriate provider or route the call to the appropriate resource.
• Communicate, to patients and internal and external ordering physicians' offices, complex exam preparation instructions including, but not limited to, pre-procedure laboratory test requirements and other necessary preparation instructions.
• Send out accurate and complete communication to physicians or other healthcare providers.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of recent call center experience
• Healthcare scheduling experience a plus

This is a Contract position based out of Dallas, TX.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

Schedule
