About the role

NTT DATA seeks a Remote Database Administrator - Oracle to join their team in Plano, Texas (US-TX), United States (US).

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and administer Oracle database environments across development, test, and production
  • Perform database installation, configuration, upgrades, patching, and maintenance
  • Develop and maintain backup, recovery, and failover strategies to ensure business continuity
  • Provide logical and physical database administration support including storage and structure management
  • Maintain database performance and capacity
  • Perform SQL tuning, indexing, and performance optimization
  • Support L2/L3 production support including incident, problem, and change management
  • Troubleshoot database and system-level issues and coordinate with vendors as needed
  • Implement database security, user access controls, and auditing
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations such as HIPAA
  • Collaborate with data engineering, application, and infrastructure teams
  • Support data integration, migration, and modernization initiatives

Required Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience as a Database Administrator with strong Oracle experience
  • 6+ years of experience with SQL and PL/SQL skills with performance tuning expertise
  • 3+ years of experience with Oracle 11g/12c/19c or newer
  • 3+ years of experience with Oracle RAC, ASM, and Data Guard
  • 3+ years of experience with RMAN backup and recovery

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with Unix/Linux environments
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Experience with Oracle Cloud, Azure, or AWS environments
  • Exposure to data modernization or migration programs
  • Experience with ETL tools such as Informatica or DataStage
  • Healthcare industry experience

Pay & Benefits

The starting pay range for this role is $93,816 - $162,875 per year. Actual compensation will depend on a number of factors, including the candidate’s relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications. This position may also be eligible for incentive compensation based on individual and/or company performance.
