Remote Database Administrator - Oracle
About the role
NTT DATA seeks a Remote Database Administrator - Oracle to join their team in Plano, Texas (US-TX), United States (US).
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and administer Oracle database environments across development, test, and production
- Perform database installation, configuration, upgrades, patching, and maintenance
- Develop and maintain backup, recovery, and failover strategies to ensure business continuity
- Provide logical and physical database administration support including storage and structure management
- Maintain database performance and capacity
- Perform SQL tuning, indexing, and performance optimization
- Support L2/L3 production support including incident, problem, and change management
- Troubleshoot database and system-level issues and coordinate with vendors as needed
- Implement database security, user access controls, and auditing
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations such as HIPAA
- Collaborate with data engineering, application, and infrastructure teams
- Support data integration, migration, and modernization initiatives
Required Qualifications
- 6+ years of experience as a Database Administrator with strong Oracle experience
- 6+ years of experience with SQL and PL/SQL skills with performance tuning expertise
- 3+ years of experience with Oracle 11g/12c/19c or newer
- 3+ years of experience with Oracle RAC, ASM, and Data Guard
- 3+ years of experience with RMAN backup and recovery
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with Unix/Linux environments
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Experience with Oracle Cloud, Azure, or AWS environments
- Exposure to data modernization or migration programs
- Experience with ETL tools such as Informatica or DataStage
- Healthcare industry experience

Pay & Benefits
The starting pay range for this role is $93,816 - $162,875 per year. Actual compensation will depend on a number of factors, including the candidate’s relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications. This position may also be eligible for incentive compensation based on individual and/or company performance.
