About the role
The Oracle Database Administrator will join a high-impact program, focused on designing, building, delivering, and supporting highly available, scalable, real-time data persistence for mission-critical applications.
Responsibilities
- Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and support ability and effectiveness analysis.
- Proactively monitors database health, optimizes SQL code, and addresses performance bottlenecks.
- Designs and implements database schemas and structures according to project requirements.
- Daily database administration, monitoring, and troubleshooting of system database and replication issues.
- Maintains data accuracy and ensures maximum uptime and may require some on-call support.
- Troubleshoot and resolve database problems.
- Collaborates with developers to optimize queries, stored procedures, and database design for applications.
Requirements
- Active DOD TS/SCI clearance.
- At least 5 years of hands-on database admin experience.
- At least 5 years of Oracle Database Administration experience, specifically with Oracle 12c, 19c, or later.
- In-depth experience implementing and maintaining database security.
- In-depth experience conducting database performance tuning and monitoring.
- In-depth experience troubleshooting and resolving database problems/issues.
- Experience with procedural languages such as PL/SQL and proficiency in PL/SQL development and optimization.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with real time highly available data replication technologies such as Oracle Data Guard (configuration, monitoring, failover/switchover).
- Experience with SQL tuning and diagnostic skills including performance tuning (AWR ADDM).
- Experience with the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) methodology and/or as a member of an Agile team.
- Experience with database design and development.
- Extensive, in-depth understanding of databases, primarily Oracle and/or other relational and non-relational/NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL.
- IAT Level II Baseline Certification (e.g. CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CND, SSCP.)
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline.
- At least 8 years of relevant experience.

- Self-starter, strong leader, and ability to work independently with little supervision.
Benefits
Pay Range $87,100.00 - $157,450.00
