Remote Customer Service Specialist | 5:00 PM - 1:30 AM ET
About the role
The primary product line is Kwikset, focusing on specialty locks like those that allow unlocking via phone or pin pad. This role handles escalated calls related to lock issues, installation, and product information.
Responsibilities
- Handle high volume technical support calls and emails regarding product problems, installation, and general information.
- Offer knowledge to consumers and direct them to the appropriate resources.
- Complete information on a computer screen with all pertinent data during phone interactions.
- Respond to consumer repair requests and evaluate product problems, determining if scrapping or repair is needed.
- Assist consumers with product installation techniques, features, and models as requested.
Requirements
- At least one (1) year experience in a product-based customer support function and/or call center environment preferred but not required.
- Previous experience in the hardware and home improvement industry preferred.
- Technical mindset and willingness to learn, as much of the position is self-taught.
- Type 35+ WPM.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Good verbal and written communication skills, bilingual in Spanish or French a plus.
- Problem-solver; able to handle difficult customer situations internally and externally.
- Basic mechanical aptitude.

Pay and Benefits
