About the role

We're seeking a dedicated People leader to own multiple sub-functions including People Ops, HR, performance & compensation, recruiting, and culture as we scale. This is a player-coach role where you will build the function and processes while also contributing to the strategic vision of the company.

Responsibilities

  • Own the vision for the company and be an active voice in driving it forward.
  • Pick and run the HRIS, equity admin, broker, and immigration counsel.
  • Manage onboarding, offboarding, payroll, benefits, compliance, and other HR processes.
  • Scale the company's HR infrastructure for up to 10x growth in employees.
  • Enable employees to perform at their best through manager coaching and performance management.
  • Nurture and embody our core values of Sprint the Marathon, Happy Grinder, Product Fluency, and Win as a Team.
  • Act as Head of Recruiting, maintaining the headcount plan and closing gaps between plans and actuals.

Requirements

  • Experience scaling People functions from 50 to 500 employees.
  • Proven ability to handle the grunt work and process building.
  • Strong understanding of HRIS, equity administration, and immigration laws.
  • Experience with onboarding, offboarding, payroll, benefits, and compliance.
  • Ability to connect People functions to the broader organizational goals.
  • Experience with performance management and compensation.
  • Strong cultural acumen and ability to embody and promote our core values.
  • Experience in recruiting and talent acquisition.

Qualifications

  • Non-traditional background in HR to gain a deep understanding of scaling a company.
  • Experience handling performance and employee relations calls, including PIPs, terminations, and layoffs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Passion for building a high-performing, in-person culture in San Francisco.

  • Strong HRIS and HR software proficiency.
