Relief Veterinarian

About the role

VCA Palmetto Animal Hospital is seeking a Relief Veterinarian to join their team in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. This position offers 10-hour shifts in general practice.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate veterinary care to patients in a large, state-of-the-art facility.
• Utilize advanced equipment such as surgical lasers, dental radiographs, ultrasound, digital radiographs, therapeutic lasers, endoscopy, and anesthesia monitoring.
• Participate in a supportive team environment with over 20 years of experience among staff members.
• Deliver high-quality client service and excellent patient care.
• Contribute to the hospital's strong relationships with the community and surrounding veterinary practices.

Requirements

• Current license to practice veterinary medicine in South Carolina.
• Experience in general practice preferred but not required.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work well with clients and staff.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an AVMA-accredited school.
• Completion of an internship or residency program in veterinary medicine.
• Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
