Relief Mixing Operator

About the role

As a Relief Mixing Machine Operator at pladis, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our production lines. You will be responsible for packing products according to specifications, and when required, stepping in as a Mixing Machine Operator to ensure the area is safe, follow mix specifications, and work well in a team.

Responsibilities

• Manually pack products within specifications (includes bending, lifting, stretching)
• Visually check for foreign matter / hazards
• Ensure quality of biscuits packed is within product specifications
• Adequately adhere to all quality and safety standards
• Work to a high standard, enabling plants to achieve planned output
• Report any problems to Supervisor
• Maintain cleanliness and meet hygiene standards
• Support the Supervisors in the introduction and support of any improvement initiatives
• Provide a co-ordinated link with all production processes on the line
• Mixing Machine Operator Responsibilities
• Report any problems to the Team Manager/ATM
• To operate all dough mixers in each zone
• To operate to the correct procedures for machine operation, safety, quality and hygiene
• To take part in tiered meetings and have an active role in the boards as part of Supply Chain Excellence

Qualifications

• Desirable Previous experience is desirable but not essential, as we provide training
• Knowledge of manufacturing environment and of HACCP and safe systems of work
• To achieve planned output within specification
• To maximise plant efficiency and to minimise TOS and waste
• To maximise the labour utilisation
• Maintain cleanliness and meet hygiene standards at all times
• To develop line operatives in line with company best practice
• Support the Section Leaders in the introduction and support of any improvement initiatives
