Job Description
- Weigh and measure ingredients according to customer specifications, recipes, and production schedules.
- Ensure precise and accurate quantities are met for all ingredients, using appropriate scales and equipment.
- Verify ingredient quality and freshness before use in production.
- Maintain an organized and accurate record of all ingredient batches and weights.
- Properly handle and store ingredients to prevent contamination and ensure product integrity.
- Inspect incoming raw materials for quality, and report any discrepancies or issues to Lead and/or Supervisor.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitting area, ensuring all tools and equipment are in good working condition.
- Accurately document ingredient weights, lot numbers, and batch numbers to ensure traceability.
- Follow inventory control procedures and assist in managing ingredient stock levels to prevent shortages or overages.
- Complete required production logs, reports, and other paperwork in compliance with company standards.
- Follow all safety protocols, including wearing proper personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhering to workplace safety standards.
- Comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), food safety regulations, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure the production of safe and high-quality products.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations to meet sanitation standards.
- Communicate effectively with production teams, supervisors, and other departments to ensure smooth workflow and timely ingredient preparation.
- Report any issues or potential risks related to ingredient quality, equipment malfunctions, or production delays.
Skills & Abilities
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions.
- Basic math and measurement skills, with the ability to accurately weigh and scale ingredients.
- Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and quality.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Able to lift and move up to 50 pounds as required.
- Able to stand, bend, and move for extended periods of time.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Prior experience in a food manufacturing or similar production environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with GMP, food safety protocols, and quality assurance processes is a plus.
Shift
2nd shift, Monday through Friday, 2:45pm to 11pm, with an occasional Saturday.
Pay Range
$25.05 to $26.66/hr
