Reliability Engineering Technologist 1/2

Key responsibilities

• Maintains equipment performance using data analysis techniques.
• Utilizes diagnostic tools to assess equipment health.
• Schedules and coordinates inspections with maintenance and operations personnel.
• Executes and reviews preventive maintenance tasks.
• Enters and maintains basic equipment information in the CMMS.
• Coordinates routine maintenance activities and tracks completion.
• Supports hands-on maintenance and equipment inspections.
• Gathers and reports equipment conditions to engineers.
• Maintains technical records and assists in updating documentation.
• Supports data collection and root cause determination.

Qualifications

• Minimum Education: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Technology, Science, Math or related field.
• Minimum Experience: 2 years related experience for Engineering Technologist 1; 5 years for Engineering Technologist 2.
• Knowledge & Expertise: Industry standards, technical manuals, diagnostic tools, maintenance techniques, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Maintenance Operations: Diagnostic and predictive maintenance tools, maintenance techniques, and asset management.
• Technology: CMMS systems, Microsoft Office, and technical documentation.

Desired Qualifications

• Active Q Clearance
• HRP Certification
• Experience in nuclear facility operations, engineering, or maintenance
• Conflict resolution and negotiation skills
• Techniques such as vibration analysis, thermography, and oil analysis

Work Location and Schedule

The work location is onsite in Los Alamos, NM. The schedule may require off-shift duty to support 24/7 operations.
