Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional member experiences during in-person and phone interactions, identifying member needs and recommending VyStar financial solutions.
  • Identify member cues, ask open-ended questions, and build relationships by understanding member financial needs.
  • Process personal and business account transactions, open new accounts, and handle loan applications.
  • Explain credit, savings, and investment options, and refer members to more complex products.
  • Offer additional services like notarization, wire transfers, and fraud claims.
  • Support and participate in Credit Union initiatives and campaigns.
  • Exercise sound judgment, remain compliant, and work independently.
  • Lead by example through community service and maintaining a positive attitude.
  • Communicate effectively verbally and in writing, and engage proactively with members.
  • Resolve member issues independently and educate them about VyStar’s offerings.
  • Proactively help identify, assess, manage, and report risks within your domain.
  • Participate in Credit Union initiatives and campaigns.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED required, Associate’s degree preferred.
  • Previous experience in sales and/or customer service, community service, military service, asking questions, offering recommendations, and making referrals is preferred.
  • Excellent listening and communication skills, proficiency in the Internet and Microsoft Office.
  • A professional appearance and attitude, ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, strong critical thinking and decision-making abilities, and a genuine passion for sales.
  • Ability to stand throughout the shift to assist members or other staff.
