About the role
The Role: Relationship Specialist I at VyStar Credit Union provides member experiences, identifies needs, grows relationships, processes transactions, and educates on financial solutions. This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, with an associate's degree preferred. Prior experience in sales, customer service, or a financial institution is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide unbelievable member experiences through interactions in person and on the phone.
- Identify member needs and position VyStar financial solutions effectively.
- Handle personal and business account transactions, open accounts, and process loan applications.
- Explain basic credit and savings options and refer more complex products.
- Offer additional services like notary, wire transfers, and fraud claims.
- Support and participate in Credit Union initiatives and campaigns.
- Exercise sound judgment and remain compliant with limits and guidelines.
- Work independently to accomplish tasks and exhibit professionalism.
- Engage proactively with members through outbound calls to understand needs and provide solutions.
- Resolve member problems independently and educate members about available offerings.
- Lead by example through community service and adhere to VyStar’s Standards of Excellence.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED
- Associate’s degree preferred
- Previous experience in sales and/or customer service, community service, military service, asking questions, offering recommendations, and making referrals
- Excellent listening, verbal, and written communication skills
- Proficient in using the Internet and Microsoft Office
- Outgoing personality and strong desire to help people
- Professional appearance and attitude
- Able to handle many tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Genuine passion for sales
Qualifications
