Position Overview
As part of the Customer Contact Center, the Relationship Growth & Engagement Specialist will support and expand the relationship with our customers through cross-selling bank products and services to both new and existing relationships. This position will also function as support for the Contact Center team as needed, all while exemplifying superior customer service and keeping to the highest standards of courtesy, professionalism, empathy and problem solving.
Primary Accountabilities
- Perform outbound sales and service calls to prospective and existing bank customers.
- Expand the customer base by sourcing new relationships and cross-selling bank products and services to new and existing relationships.
- Handle customer inquiries and problems as needed.
- Assist with other Contact Center responsibilities such as inbound customer calls, servicing customer online banking requests, and supporting online account opening.
- Generate qualified referrals while following operational procedures and adhering to all regulatory and compliance requirements.
- Provide support to business unit personnel as needed.
- Aid with department projects and tasks as needed.
Knowledge, Skills, Experience and Education
- 1+ years experience in inside sales, branch banking and services, customer service or other directly related experience.
- Working knowledge of sales, customer service, retention skills and banking products and services.
- Good customer service, problem resolution and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to change within a fast-paced business environment.
- Ability to use a variety of computer software.
- Ability to cross sell bank products.

Pay and Benefits
This position may be subject to SAFE Act Registration Requirements. Pursuant to the SAFE Act requirements, all applicants for employment who will be engaged in residential loan mortgage originations (as defined by the SAFE Act) must register with the federal registry system and maintain a status in good standing under the SAFE Act requirements. UniBank is committed to fair, competitive, and market-informed pay for our employees. The estimated base hourly rate for this position is $21.00/hr to $25.00/hr. Final hourly offer will be determined based on a particular candidate's unique combination of factors such as skills, education, experience and certifications. In addition to those factors, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider the internal equity of our current employees as part of any final offer.
