Responsibilities
- Build and maintain relationships with a defined portfolio of startups and small to midsize businesses
- Drive participation in TechPoint programs including Xtern, Xtern Challenge and community convenings
- Conduct regular check-ins to understand company needs and connect them to relevant opportunities
- Support retention by ensuring strong partner experience and consistent value delivery
- Track engagement activity and outcomes in Salesforce and monitor engagement trends to identify risks and opportunities
- Prospect and identify new companies aligned with TechPoint’s membership and sponsorship strategy
- Conduct outbound outreach to generate qualified leads
- Qualify opportunities and schedule meetings for senior Engagement team members
- Maintain a healthy pipeline in Salesforce and contribute to revenue goals
- Collaborate with marketing to align campaigns with outreach efforts
- Develop a strong understanding of Indiana’s tech ecosystem
- Represent TechPoint at events, networking opportunities and community engagements
- Support marketing efforts including storytelling and thought leadership
- Use data, market intelligence, and partner feedback to help refine outreach strategies, prioritization, and engagement approaches
- Identify patterns and themes across partner interactions and communicate actionable insights to the Engagement team
Requirements
- 2-5 years of experience in account management, partnerships, sales or business development
- Experience prospecting and generating leads
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience using CRM systems, preferably Salesforce
- Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Able to maintain accurate engagement and pipeline records and use data to prioritize activities
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain partner relationships and support business development activities while balancing multiple priorities
