About the role
As a Relationship Banker (RB) at Simmons Bank, you will build, expand, and retain existing client relationships while delivering an exceptional client experience. You’ll provide expert financial solutions by assessing client needs and offering bank products and services to help them achieve their financial goals. Relationship Bankers market Simmons solutions through daily interactions, outbound calling, business visits, networking events, and periodic ‘At Work’ events, while striving to meet or exceed individual and branch goals. You’ll also assist clients with account service, teller transactions, problem resolution, and other transactional needs, acting as a professional and positive Simmons Ambassador.
Responsibilities
- Share and recommend the bank’s full scope of resources, including in-branch services, digital capabilities, and business partner resources.
- Meet individual goals through in-person and outbound calling activities, using a needs-based approach to offer solutions and recommendations.
- Open and close accounts, assist customers with account selection, perform account research, and comply with BSA and CIP requirements.
- Facilitate consumer loan requests, maintain knowledge of loan policies, and assist with the branch’s consumer loan portfolio.
- Uncover client needs and refer them to partner teams specializing in small business, corporate, institutional, mortgage, and financial advisory services.
- Maintain high client satisfaction by engaging customers and ensuring an optimal experience.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies, and procedures, including completing required compliance training.
- Process customer requests and transactions accurately and professionally while identifying needs and recommending solutions.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- One year of customer-facing and goal-oriented experience.
- Registration with the National Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (NMLS) is required; obtain an NMLS license after employment.
- Occasional travel for meetings, training, bank conversions, or acquisition support (minimal overnight or out-of-town travel).
- Ability to support and guide other banking institutions within the market.
Skills
- Ability to motivate and present information effectively in one-on-one and small group settings.
- Embrace a team-centric approach to support customers in a fast-paced banking environment.
- Coach and lead the branch team according to process and protocol in the absence of an Assistant Financial Center Manager (AFCM).
- Proficiency in MS Office programs.
- Understand and utilize social media platforms to share brand awareness and obtain market knowledge.
