About the role

To collect, analyze, and develop reimbursement reports. To monitor monthly charges, collections, and RVUs by department. To assist the Associate Director of Revenue Cycle with presentations and data reporting for senior leadership and upper management. To provide and monitor benchmark data as it pertains to reimbursement.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares monthly, annual, and ad hoc financial reports and analyses, develops presentations, and recommends course of action to senior management.
  • Works with appropriate personnel to analyze and formulate monthly and yearly collection goals.
  • Coordinates distribution of plans and reports.
  • Assists the physician revenue cycle director with monitoring of monthly charges, collections, and RVUs by clinical department and by payor.
  • Summarizes findings in monthly reports and distributes to staff and senior management.
  • Conducts analysis of special projects as assigned.
  • Coordinates with staff to develop performance data reports to support collection activities.
  • Develops special ad hoc reports from various systems and develops performance data reports to support the clinical departments with improving charge entry and collection performance.
  • Maintains liaison with staff and management in the preparation of financial reports.

Requirements

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree.
  • One (1) year of experience in reimbursement, financial analysis, or revenue cycle management.

Physical and Environmental Demands

  • Occasional working hours significantly beyond regularly scheduled hours.
  • Occasional traveling to offsite locations.
  • Occasional activities subject to significant volume changes of a seasonal/clinical nature.
  • Frequent work produced subject to precise measures of quantity and quality.
  • Occasional bending, lifting and carrying up to 75 pounds, climbing, crouching/stooping, driving, kneeling, pushing/pulling, reaching, sitting, standing, twisting, and walking.

(Occasional: up to 20%, frequent: from 21% to 50%, constant: 51% or more)
